Ford Extends F-150 Invitation to Police

Ford already has a lot of American drivers excited over the prospect of driving a 2018 Ford F-150. Set to release this year, the hotly anticipated truck now has a chance to excite police departments as well.

As reported by AutoNews.com, Ford has announced the new Police Responder model of the forthcoming F-150. Decked out with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, the Police Responder will pack an impressive 375 horsepower, 470 pounds-feet of torque, and a towing capacity of 7,000 pounds.

The police truck will also deliver 132 cubic feet of rear storage space and a top speed of 100 MPH. Combined with a series of other policework essential features, it will be a powerful and fully functional vehicle option for interested police departments.

The core of the Police Responder's strength, of course, is the 2018 Ford F-150 itself. Even more versatile than the F-150s of years past, the 2018 version will launch with a wide range of model and engine options to please every truck driver, no matter their needs.
